Friends of Seymour Library
membership form
Some things never change.
Since our doors opened in 1903, Seymour Library has been the place where
children learn to love books, and where adults broaden their horizons.
You can be a part of our mission and part of our future when you become
a Friend of Seymour Library.
Friends are devoted, enthusiastic supporters who can help Seymour
Library advance its goals and reach its potential. Former library
director Charles L. Youngman started the original Friends group at
Seymour Library in 1968. “Friends groups have been instrumental in
helping libraries achieve maximum service potential through publicity,
fund drives, and activities for people of all ages,” he said at the
time. “Every library, large or small, should have a Friends group to
help the Librarian bring the message of the Library before the public.”
Those words are still true today. A number of people have expressed
their interest in reviving the Friends of Seymour Library. Our first
membership drive in many years is now under way. Joining is as simple as
clicking here. If you're
interested in taking a more active role in the Friends group by serving
as a board or committee member, be sure to let us know.
